*Day 9 *

PB and I took an Indian Summer walk yesterday afternoon.

We walk, we talk, we take in the surrounding beauty.

But what makes our walk even more enjoyable is our pup, Buck!

Since the day we brought him home, almost 3 years ago, at 8 weeks old, the Buckeroo has
has brought fun and joy into our lives. He is obedient, loyal and loving, sweet tempered-yet protective, and smart as a whip. He's also silly, funny, full of energy and sometimes a little mischief, happy, and always wants to play!

(a few of my favorite pics of the Buckeroo)
Can you tell I love my dog?
He's my boy and I'm so thankful for him!

****
We been blessed with three days of lovely, warm weather-a bonus for those of us who live in the North East!
I opened my windows today and let in some November fresh air!
So thankful!

Have a wonderful, thankful day & Blessings to you!

*Day 8*

As Long As I Have Breath

How do I thank You, O Lord, for taking my place on the cross?

And how do I thank You O Lord? for all of Your Mercy and Kindness?

For calling me to You,

For letting me hear You,

For opening my heart to the Gospel?

How do I thank You, O Lord for all of the love in Your eyes?

And how do I thank You, O Lord, for how You have changed me forever?

For giving me power, a hope and a future with favor and gladness and every good thing?

As long as I have breath I will praise You!

As long as my heart beats, I will sing,

As long as life flows in my veins,

I will bless Your name!

(Words by Mark Altrogge-1998 PDI Praise)

"I love the LORD because He has heard my voice and my supplications. Because He has inclined His ear to me, Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live. Then I called upon the name of the LORD; "O LORD I implore You, deliver my soul!" Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; Yes, our God is merciful, The LORD preserves the simple; I was brought low and He saved me."

Psalm 116:1-6

*Day 7*

It was a beautiful November day here at the cabin!

I was up to my elbows in glue, paint, and paper--and lovin it! But that lovely sun peeking through the trees was calling me to a walk down a woodland path.

So was the Buckeroo!

We took our walk and explored the woods. I found a large patch of "Horsetail" growing in a swampy area. It drys well and keeps its green color for months. I like to use it in Winter flower arrangements. (I'm not sure why it's called "Horsetail"--I like to think of it as Northern Bamboo!) The other stuff makes a nice Fall wreath. I have good intentions, but it will most likely also end up in a Fall/Winter flower arrangement.

I also found a little bird nest in a red willow branch!

All this to say. . .

I am so thankful for unexpected, warm and sunny November days!

As always, I thank you all for taking the time to stop by the Teeny Tiny Cabin and appreciate each and every kind word left!

May you have a blessed Sunday!

*Day 6*

Hello, Dear friends!

The picture above was taken yesterday morning. The November snowfall left the piney woods looking as though they had been dusted with powdered sugar!

So pretty!

Spent the day crafting with my friend Dawn-- Oh! Dear!-- I was so busy talking away that I forgot to get a picture of the delightful peg dollies she was working on! I took the shot above right after she left. But you can still get a peek of them if you hop on over here

Later in the day, we took a break!

Crafting, chatting, & eating cake!

Bliss!

So thankful for friendship!

"Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of one's friend springs from his earnest counsel"
Proverbs 27:9

*Day 5*

In light of the terrible event that has taken place today at Fort Hood, my thoughts are prayerfully centered on our American soldiers.

As I sit basking in the warmth and comfort of the Cabin, I am thinking about how far removed I am from the turmoil and danger that is taking place around the world on a daily basis. I know I am blessed to live each day in peace and freedom.

I am humbled by the courage of the fine men and women in the armed forces and my words cannot adequately express how grateful I am for their service and sacrifice. I salute them, I support them, and I continually pray for them.

I am thankful for them!

*Day 4*

Got home kind of late this evening--so I just have time to post this and then it's off to bed!

A chilly rain drizzled off and on this early November day! Even had a snow shower mixed in to make it ever so interesting!

Out my window, the Piney woods glisten with a stark beauty now, preparing for the long cold winter, which, all too soon, will be arriving.

But it's so nice and cozy inside!

I will be spending many early mornings and cozy evenings in front of this stove. I will sit here and order my day, I will stitch and sew, most importantly, I will read and pray.

Moments of bliss.

I am so thankful for our woodstove!

*Day 3*

Hello! Dear Friends!

I am so thankful today for a little extra time!

The last few days I've had some time to start altering a very old and tattered copy of one of my favorite books-- "Pilgrims Progress. I've have several other vintage copies that are in good shape and have given my very best copies to my grandchildren, so I thought it would be okay to alter this one. I've wanted to do this for some time and have been having a lot of fun with the process. I don't know how much I'll be able to do-but I am thankful for these moments!

Here's a close-up peek at the details. . .

My grandkids did come for a visit this past weekend. We had a such a good time together!

We spent Friday evening making Birthday cards for their mom. Even little Iz, my precious 5 year old, got into the act!

I am so thankful that my older grandkids still like to snuggle, hold my hand, and give me a quick kiss on the cheek for no reason whatsoever!

And I am thankful that they still enjoy crafting with their grandma!

***********

I'm thankful that I am able to take long walks with Buck on such a lovely cool, crisp, November day!

And to see such a sight as this. . .

The country road we were walking on, winds around this cow pasture. This little herd became so curious as to what Buck and I were doing (taking pictures!) That they all ran over to us to have a good look! I always enjoy greeting these guys--most of them still have their horns!

So cute!

Have a wonderful and Thankful day!

Thank you for taking the time to stop by the cabin today!

Blessings to You!
